Candid-B Cream is used to treat fungal infections. It contains Clotrimazole and Beclometasone, which stop the growth of fungi and also block the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. It may cause common side effects such as itching, dryness, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
I get itching due to extreme heat. Which cream can I apply to relieve it?
Bayyarapu Mahesh Kumar
M Pharmacy
For itching caused by extreme heat, apply calamine lotion or a cooling cream with menthol or aloe vera to soothe the skin. Try to stay in a cool environment, wear loose cotton clothing, and keep the skin dry to prevent further irritation. Avoid scratching, as it can worsen the itching. If the problem spreads, lasts for several days, or is accompanied by blisters or fever, it’s important to see a doctor for proper care.
I had itching and burning with white discharge 2years back and consulted a gynaec and came to know it is candidiasis vulvoginitis. I was recommeded to use candid B cream for 10days and suppository for 7days for the 1st time. Then after i again got recurrent infections, went again to consult and was recommended to use fluconazole tab 1 tablet weekly for 2 weeks , candid b cream for 10days and probiotic & prebiobic tablet for 1 month. now after 3.5months i again got the infection. Why this is recurrent? what medication to use to stop this for ever?I am really tired of this.

Recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis is a condition characterised by repeated yeast infections despite treatment. It can occur due to uncontrolled diabetes, frequent antibiotic use, hormonal changes, pregnancy, oral contraceptive pills, low immunity, tight synthetic clothing, or infection with resistant Candida species. Sometimes the infection was not fully cleared, or the diagnosis needs confirmation with a vaginal swab and fungal culture. These cases require proper evaluation and a supervised long-term treatment plan from a gynaecologist. Blood sugar testing and identification of the exact fungal species are important. There is no instant permanent cure, but with correct diagnosis and guided management, most women achieve good long-term control. Please consult a gynaecologist for reassessment and targeted treatment.
After travelling for 50 hours by train, I developed red, itchy spots on my hands and legs. I used Candid-B Cream, but there is no relief. What medicine do you recommend?
Dr. S Aneela
M. Pharm (Pharmacology)., PhD
Since your red, itchy spots appeared after travel and did not improve with Candid-B Cream (Clotrimazole and Beclometasone), they are likely caused by an allergic reaction or heat rash rather than a fungal infection. Stop using this antifungal cream, keep your skin clean and cool, and consult a doctor, who may recommend an oral antihistamine or a mild topical anti-itch lotion.
I have balanitis. Can I use Candid B Cream?
Bayyarapu Mahesh Kumar
M Pharmacy
Candid B Cream contains clotrimazole to treat fungal infections and beclometasone to reduce redness and itching. It should only be used if a doctor confirms your balanitis is caused by a fungal infection. Balanitis can also be caused by bacteria, irritation, or allergies, in which case this cream may not help and could cause harm. Using the steroid without medical advice, especially on sensitive skin, can worsen the condition. Consult a doctor to determine the cause and receive safe, effective treatment.
I have had an itchy rash for more than a month, and Candid-B cream hasn?t helped. What should I do
Dr. S Aneela
M. Pharm (Pharmacology)., PhD
If Candid B has not worked after a month, it may not be the proper treatment. Stop using steroid creams, keep the region clean and dry, and switch to a basic antifungal cream like clotrimazole or terbinafine. If the rash is spreading, particularly uncomfortable, or does not improve within a week, consult a dermatologist long lasting rashes may require a thorough examination or oral medicine.

Overcome Medication-Induced Nausea: A 9-Step Plan
Inform your doctor about the nausea and discuss possible alternatives to the medication or adjustments to the dosage.
Divide your daily food intake into smaller, more frequent meals to reduce nausea.
Opt for bland, easily digestible foods like crackers, toast, plain rice, bananas, and applesauce.
Avoid certain foods that can trigger nausea, such as fatty, greasy, spicy, and smelly foods.
Drink plenty of fluids, such as water, clear broth, or electrolyte-rich beverages like coconut water or sports drinks.
Use ginger (tea, ale, or candies) to help relieve nausea.
Get adequate rest and also avoid strenuous activities that can worsen nausea.
Talk to your doctor about taking anti-nausea medication if your nausea is severe.
Record when your nausea occurs, what triggers it, and what provides relief to help you identify patterns and manage your symptoms more effectively.
Consult your doctor if you experience skin redness, itching, or irritation after taking medication.
Apply cool compresses or calamine lotion to the affected skin area to reduce irritation.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to help alleviate symptoms and keep your skin soothing.
Monitor your skin condition closely and promptly report any changes, worsening symptoms, or concerns to your healthcare provider.
Cool the burn by using cool (not cold) running water to reduce tissue damage and pain.
Slowly remove any tight clothing or jewellery from the burned area.
After cooling, apply a topical ointment like aloevera gel or a mild antibiotic cream to help with healing.
Use a clean bandage to protect the burn area from further irritation.
Take over-the-counter pain medication if needed.
Do not apply butter or other greasy substances, as they can trap bacteria and hinder healing.
If the burn covers a large area of skin or if the burn appears to be deeper than the top layer of skin, with blisters or significant redness, consult the doctor and get treated.
