Fenixa Syrup is used to treat various kinds of allergies. It contains Fexofenadine, which blocks the effects of a chemical messenger known as histamine, that is naturally involved in allergic reactions. It is widely used to treat hay fever (an allergy caused by pollen or dust), conjunctivitis (red, itchy eye), eczema (dermatitis), hives (red, raised patches or dots), reactions to insect bites and stings and some food allergies. In some cases, you may experience headaches, nausea, or dizziness. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions. Do not take this medicine with dairy products as it may lower its efficacy.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Fenixa Syrup have interactions with a medicine used to treat low blood pressure (midodrine), a medication to treat fungal infections (ketoconazole), an antibiotic (erythromycin, rifampicin), medications used to treat HIV infection (ritonavir or lopinavir), respiratory disease medicine (theophylline), a decongestant (pseudoephedrine), anti-viral or anti-HIV drugs (ritonavir), and indigestion remedies containing aluminium or magnesium.

Drug-Food Interactions: Consuming large amounts of alcohol and fruit juices, including grapefruit, orange and apple, may decrease the levels of Fenixa Syrup in your body.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Fenixa Syrup is contraindicated in liver or kidney disease, heart problems, and epilepsy (fits).
