If you haven't already, you should see an endocrinologist right away to begin or modify an appropriate insulin regimen and to have your HbA1c, C-peptide, and antibodies checked. Treatment should not be postponed since persistently elevated blood sugar levels might exacerbate beta-cell loss and quickly lead to problems.
