Normaxin Tablet is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome, peptic ulcers, enterocolitis (swelling in the intestine), and symptoms related to intestinal infection. It works by reducing stomach acid and decreases intestinal spasms. It helps in decreasing stomach cramps and spasms. It decreases abnormal activity in the brain. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as weakness, tiredness, dry mouth, nausea, constipation, and drowsiness. Drug-Drug Interactions: Normaxin Tablet may interact with pain killers (codeine, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, methadone, morphine, oxycodone, tramadol, acetaminophen), blood thinner (warfarin), anti-psychotic (chlorpromazine, fluphenazine, thioridazine), anti-depressants (isocarboxazid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, duloxetine, fluoxetine, sertraline), muscle relaxant (cyclobenzaprine), anti-convulsant (pregabalin, gabapentin), anti-anxiety (alprazolam), antihistamine (cetirizine, diphenhydramine), anti-hypertensive (metoprolol), anti-spasmodic (hyoscyamine), anti-diarrhoeal (loperamide), and anti-emetic (promethazine).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking Normaxin Tablet as it may cause increased drowsiness.
