Rablet IT Capsule is used to treat GERD (gastro-esophageal reflux disease), and peptic ulcers.
Rablet IT Capsule is a combination of two drugs: Rabeprazole and Itopride. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), that works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid. It minimizes the release of acid from the stomach, which provides relief from heartburn and acid-related digestion. While Itopride works on the part of the brain responsible for controlling vomiting. It increases gastric emptying and improves gastric sensitivity and tension by increasing the movement of the stomach and intestines in the upper digestive tract. It also has antiemetic action. Together, Rablet IT Capsule helps prevent acid reflux and provide relief from acidity.
Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better even after taking Rablet IT Capsule for 14 days. Do not take Rablet IT Capsule for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor.
Diarrhea might be a side-effect of Rablet IT Capsule . Drink enough fluids and eat fibre-rich food if you experience diarrhea. If you find blood in your stools (tarry stools) or if you experience excess diarrhea, consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
Avoid or limit the consumption of alcohol while taking Rablet IT Capsule as it may lead to increased dizziness. Alcohol intake leads to increased production of stomach acid, thereby increasing acidity and heartburn.

Take Rablet IT Capsule at the time recommended by your doctor. It is usually best to take it 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast, as this helps the medication work effectively to reduce stomach acid.
Rablet IT Capsule is contraindicated in people who are allergic to any of its components. Inform your doctor before taking Rablet IT Capsule if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical perforation or obstruction, or a movement disorder. Do not take Rablet IT Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor.
Rablet IT Capsule may cause dizziness as a side effect. If you feel dizzy after taking Rablet IT Capsule , avoid driving or using machinery until you feel alert again. If the dizziness continues, please contact your doctor.
Rablet IT Capsule contains rabeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor), which may increase the risk of fractures, particularly of the hip, wrist, and spine, when used long-term or in multiple daily doses, especially in older adults. This is primarily due to reduced calcium absorption. If you are using Rablet IT Capsule for an extended period, monitor your bone health regularly (e.g., calcium levels, bone density) and talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.
