SUPIROCIN B PLUS OINTMENT is used to treat bacterial skin infections, such as impetigo (a weeping, crusty and swollen skin patch). It contains Beclomethasone dipropionate (corticosteroid) and Mupirocin (antibiotic). Beclomethasone dipropionate works by acting inside skin cells and inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Mupirocin is a topical antibiotic that works by causing bacteria to produce faulty and abnormal proteins. Thus, it kills the bacteria and clears the infection.
