When the level is low, the baby may need closer monitoring to ensure there is no distress. You should contact your obstetrician or go to the hospital immediately for evaluation. The doctor will likely check the baby?s heartbeat with a fetal monitor and may repeat an ultrasound to measure amniotic fluid volume. These tests help decide if the baby is safe or if further treatment or early delivery is needed. Continue taking Arg 9 (L-arginine and Proanthocyanidin) only if your doctor has prescribed it, as it may help improve blood flow to the placenta, but it is not enough on its own in this situation. Meanwhile, try lying on your left side and drinking fluids, as this may sometimes improve awareness of movements. However, do not rely solely on home measures.
