Directions for Use

Follow these strict hygiene and preparation guidelines when using Aptamil powder for 6 to 12 months:

  1. Wash and Sterilise: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Sterilise the feeding bowl, spoon, and cup by boiling them in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Boil Water: Boil safe, potable drinking water for 5 minutes and allow it to cool down to a lukewarm temperature (approximately 40°C).
  3. Measure Water: Pour the exact required amount of lukewarm water into the sterilised feeding cup according to the feeding table.
  4. Add Powder: Use only the scoop provided in the Aptamil Stage 2 400 g pack. Level off the powder using the levelling edge of the box. Do not heap or press the powder.
  5. Mix Well: Add the precise number of scoops to the water. Stir gently and continuously until the powder is completely dissolved.
  6. Test Temperature: Test the formula's temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding your baby.
  • Dosage (6-12 Months): Typically, 4 scoops of powder mixed with 120ml of water, fed 3–4 times a day. Always consult your paediatrician for a feeding schedule tailored to your baby's weight and dietary needs.
  • Pro Tip: Prepare only one feed at a time. Consume immediately after preparation and discard any leftover formula to prevent bacterial growth.

Safety Information

IMPORTANT STATUTORY WARNING: MOTHER'S MILK IS BEST FOR YOUR BABY. Infant milk substitutes should only be used on the advice of a health worker as to the need for their use and the proper method of their use.

  • Who should NOT use this product: Not recommended for infants under 6 months of age, or babies with diagnosed cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA) or lactose intolerance.
  • Allergy Warning: Contains milk and dairy derivatives.
  • Storage Instructions: Empty the contents of the refill pack into a clean, airtight container immediately after opening. Store in a cool, dry place (not a refrigerator). Use the contents within 3 weeks of opening or before the expiry date, whichever is earlier.
  • Overdose / Excess Use Caution: Do not alter the recommended powder-to-water ratio without medical advice. Using fewer scoops can lead to malnutrition, while using more can cause dehydration and kidney strain.

Consult a physician if your baby experiences sudden vomiting, diarrhoea, rashes, or persistent excessive crying after transitioning to this formula.
