Topifort-NX Topical Suspension is used to treat fungal and bacterial skin infections. Also, it helps to reduce swelling, itching, and redness caused due to certain skin problems. It works by acting inside skin cells and inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. It works by damaging fungal cell membranes and kills fungi. Also, it works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins required for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers, thereby destroying the bacteria. Some people may experience side effects such as dry skin, acne, thinning of the skin, itching, pain, swelling, redness, irritation, or burning sensation at the site of application.

Sudden hair loss in one eyebrow can be caused by an allergy, an insect bite, alopecia areata (patchy hair loss), or a fungal infection. You should stop using Topifort-NX suspension immediately, as it contains a corticosteroid (Clobetasol) that may worsen conditions such as fungal infections. Consult a doctor or dermatologist soon for a proper diagnosis and safe treatment.

I have a skin infection near my thumb. What should I do?

You should keep the affected area clean and avoid touching or scratching it. Applying a topical antibiotic cream may help treat mild infections. However, if you notice swelling, increasing pain, or pus, consult your doctor promptly. Oral antibiotics or drainage may be needed if the infection worsens or spreads.

My scrotum and inner thigh skin are red, itchy, and scaly. It sometimes has a persistent odour and leaves white stains. What could be causing this?

Your symptoms most likely indicate tinea cruris, commonly known as jock itch, which is a fungal infection of the groin and inner thighs. The persistent odour and white stains may suggest a secondary bacterial or yeast infection that can occur alongside the fungal infection. You should consult a doctor for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

I have skin infections all over my body. What should I do?

You should promptly consult a doctor or dermatologist for a proper examination to identify the cause of your skin infections. Until then, keep the affected areas clean, avoid scratching, and maintain good hygiene to prevent the infection from spreading. Depending on the type of infection, you may need prescription medication, such as oral or topical antibiotics or antifungals.

I have ringworm and skin infections on my left leg. What should I do?

If you have ringworm (tinea), which is a fungal infection, apply a topical antifungal cream containing clotrimazole or terbinafine twice daily. Keep the affected area clean and dry, change your clothes regularly, and avoid scratching to prevent it from spreading. If the infection does not improve after two weeks, or if the skin becomes very painful or swollen, consult your doctor for further advice and treatment.
