Aciloc 150 Tablet is used to treat indigestion, heartburn and acid reflux. It is also used for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) when you get acid reflux. It is also used to prevent and treat stomach ulcers. It contains Ranitidine, which helps reduce stomach acid. It may cause common side effects like headache, diarrhoea, constipation, and shortness of breath. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Since your symptoms have lasted for two months, taking medication only when pain occurs may not provide lasting relief. A daily course of a proton pump inhibitor, such as omeprazole or pantoprazole, taken 30 minutes before breakfast for 2 to 4 weeks, is often much more effective. For immediate relief from gas and burning, an over-the-counter antacid containing simethicone can also help. Additionally, try eating smaller meals and avoiding spicy or oily foods. Because these symptoms have been ongoing, please consult a healthcare professional for a proper evaluation and a personalized treatment plan.

You may have experienced a medication mix-up. 'Apiloc' (Amlodipine) is a blood pressure medication, which might have been confused with 'Aciloc' (Ranitidine) used for gas. Taking blood pressure medicine inappropriately can cause vomiting, dizziness, and abdominal pain. Alternatively, your symptoms could indicate worsening gastritis or gastroenteritis. For immediate relief, sip Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) to stay hydrated and avoid further self-medication. Please monitor your blood pressure and consult a doctor immediately to ensure this is not an adverse drug reaction or a more serious abdominal issue.
