Candid-B Cream is used to treat fungal infections. It contains Clotrimazole and Beclometasone, which stop the growth of fungi and also block the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. It may cause common side effects such as itching, dryness, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Nausea

Overcome Medication-Induced Nausea: A 9-Step Plan

Inform your doctor about the nausea and discuss possible alternatives to the medication or adjustments to the dosage.
Divide your daily food intake into smaller, more frequent meals to reduce nausea.
Opt for bland, easily digestible foods like crackers, toast, plain rice, bananas, and applesauce.
Avoid certain foods that can trigger nausea, such as fatty, greasy, spicy, and smelly foods.
Drink plenty of fluids, such as water, clear broth, or electrolyte-rich beverages like coconut water or sports drinks.
Use ginger (tea, ale, or candies) to help relieve nausea.
Get adequate rest and also avoid strenuous activities that can worsen nausea.
Talk to your doctor about taking anti-nausea medication if your nausea is severe.
Record when your nausea occurs, what triggers it, and what provides relief to help you identify patterns and manage your symptoms more effectively.

Irritation

Consult your doctor if you experience skin redness, itching, or irritation after taking medication.
Apply cool compresses or calamine lotion to the affected skin area to reduce irritation.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to help alleviate symptoms and keep your skin soothing.
Monitor your skin condition closely and promptly report any changes, worsening symptoms, or concerns to your healthcare provider.

Mild Burning

Cool the burn by using cool (not cold) running water to reduce tissue damage and pain.
Slowly remove any tight clothing or jewellery from the burned area.
After cooling, apply a topical ointment like aloevera gel or a mild antibiotic cream to help with healing.
Use a clean bandage to protect the burn area from further irritation.
Take over-the-counter pain medication if needed.
Do not apply butter or other greasy substances, as they can trap bacteria and hinder healing.
If the burn covers a large area of skin or if the burn appears to be deeper than the top layer of skin, with blisters or significant redness, consult the doctor and get treated.

Tinea versicolor is a mild fungal infection of the skin that happens when a naturally present yeast grows more than usual on the surface. It is often triggered by hot weather, sweating, oily skin, humidity, or sometimes weak immunity. It shows up as light or white patches that can slowly spread and may feel slightly dry or fine-scaled, commonly on the chest, back, neck, or shoulders. It is not dangerous or contagious, but it can be long-lasting and may return if the conditions that support the fungus continue. Treatment is usually done with antifungal creams or lotions applied to the affected areas, and medicated shampoos can also be used on the body in some cases. If the infection is widespread or keeps coming back, oral antifungal medicines may be required after proper assessment. Keeping the skin cool and dry, changing out of sweaty clothes quickly, and wearing loose cotton fabrics can help improve results and reduce recurrence. Skin colour may take time to normalise even after the infection clears, so improvement is gradual rather than immediate.

Since the problem is recurring, it is important to have a proper medical evaluation by a urologist or dermatologist rather than repeatedly using creams on your own. The doctor may advise tests such as blood sugar testing or swabs to identify the underlying cause and recommend the most appropriate treatment and preventive measures. In some cases, if infections continue to recur, procedures such as circumcision may be discussed. Repeated use of Candid-B Cream or any other treatments without medical supervision is not advisable, as long-term use may affect the delicate skin.

Can I use Venusia moisturiser on the inner thighs to treat darkness?

Persistent vaginal itching for months during pregnancy may be due to a fungal infection like Candidiasis or other causes, and using multiple creams like Betnovate GM and Candid B for long periods, especially in pregnancy it is not advisable. You should stop self-medication and consult a gynecologist for proper examination and safe treatment. Keep the area dry, wear loose cotton underwear, avoid harsh soaps, and maintain hygiene. Proper antifungal treatment (safe in pregnancy) may be needed for complete relief.

I get itching due to extreme heat. Which cream can I apply to relieve it?

For itching caused by extreme heat, apply calamine lotion or a cooling cream with menthol or aloe vera to soothe the skin.
