Quadrajel Gel is used to treat gum and mouth ulcers. It forms a protective layer on the ulcer, blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain and decreasing the pain sensation. It effectively cleans the ulcer surface to prevent infection and kill the bacteria. Thus, prevents the spread of bacteria growth, hence relieving the symptoms. As a result, good oral hygiene is maintained. It may cause common side effects such as metallic taste, bitter taste, burning, transient redness, irritation, dryness, and teeth staining. Maintain good oral hygiene and brush at least 2 times a day to avoid any oral infection and its spread. Do not rinse the mouth, drink, or eat anything for 30 minutes after applying this.

Side effects of Quadrajel Gel 30 gm

Dryness

Moisturize frequently with thick, broad-spectrum moisturizers containing sunscreen.
Use warm water for short baths, and gentle cleansers.
Pat dry and apply moisturizer immediately.
Use a humidifier to add moisture to the air, and choose breathable fabrics like cotton and silk.
Wash clothes with fragrance-free detergents to minimize irritation.

Irritation

Consult your doctor if you experience skin redness, itching, or irritation after taking medication.
Apply cool compresses or calamine lotion to the affected skin area to reduce irritation.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to help alleviate symptoms and keep your skin soothing.
Monitor your skin condition closely and promptly report any changes, worsening symptoms, or concerns to your healthcare provider.

Redness

Avoid hot or cold temperatures, and shower with lukewarm water.
Apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 every day, even in winter.
Limit spicy foods and other foods that can cause redness.
Limit alcohol consumption, especially red wine.
Avoid clothing made from wool and other irritating fabrics.
Don't exfoliate too much, and use gentle scrubs.
Avoid products with menthol, camphor, or sodium lauryl sulfate.
Identify and avoid allergens that can cause allergic reactions.
Use a gentle, non-drying cleanser and moisturizer that are suitable for your skin type.

Metallic Taste

Frequent flossing and brushing can help remove bacteria and debris that can give your teeth a metallic taste.
The metallic flavor may be caused by a zinc deficiency. Eat foods like meat, chicken, and oysters that are high in zinc.
Reducing the intake of foods with strong aromas, like onions and garlic, as they may intensify the taste of metallic substances.
Avoid smoking and tobacco products as they may intensify the metallic flavor.

Teeth discoloration

A Burning Feeling In A Specific Area

Burning sensation is an abnormal side effect that needs medical attention. To relieve the burning feeling, your doctor may prescribe painkillers or antidepressants.
Focused exercises can improve strength and reduce burning by soothing muscles.
Change in lifestyle and improving nutrition can reduce the causes of burning sensation and provide relief.
