Directions for Use

How to Administer Nasivion Mini Baby Drops:

  1. Wash Hands: Ensure your hands are thoroughly washed and dried before handling the dropper.
  2. Position Your Baby: Lay your infant flat on their back. You may place a small, rolled towel under their shoulders to gently tilt their head back.
  3. Administer the Drops: Carefully hold the dropper just above the nostril (do not insert it deep inside). Squeeze gently to instil 1 drop into each nostril.
  4. Keep the Baby Still: Keep your baby’s head tilted back for about 1–2 minutes to allow the medication to spread evenly across the nasal mucosa.
  5. Clean the Dropper: Wipe the tip of the dropper with a clean, dry tissue before firmly replacing the cap to prevent contamination.

6.Infant Dosage Callout:

  • Age up to 4 weeks: 1 drop in each nostril, 2–3 times a day.
  • Age 5 weeks to 1 year: 1 to 2 drops in each nostril, 2–3 times a day.

Safety Information

  • Usage Duration Limit: Do not use this product for more than 5 to 7 consecutive days. Prolonged use can lead to "rebound congestion" (rhinitis medicamentosa), where nasal passages become chronically swollen.
  • Who Should NOT Use: Do not use if your baby is allergic to Oxymetazoline or any other excipients in the formula. Avoid if the child has a history of narrow-angle glaucoma or certain heart conditions (unless advised by a doctor).
  • Contamination Warning: To prevent the spread of infection, do not share the same bottle between multiple children.
  • Overdose Caution: Strictly stick to the 1-2 drop dosage. Overdosing an infant with decongestants can cause systemic side effects, including lethargy, drops in body temperature, or irregular heartbeats.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach and sight of children.

 

Consult a physician if congestion persists beyond 5 days, is accompanied by a high fever, thick yellow/green mucus, or if your baby exhibits wheezing or difficulty breathing.
