It makes organ transplantation possible and treats muscle disorders like Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Some people may experience side effects such as nausea, chest pain, vomiting, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, skin rash, tremors, nervousness, diarrhoea and fast heartbeats.
