Dolomed MR Tablet is used in the reduction of musculoskeletal pain and muscle spasm due to tissue injury, resolution of post surgery inflammation and oedema (swollen tissue with fluid). It works by blocking the effect of a chemical known as prostaglandin responsible for inducing pain and inflammation in our body. Also, it helps by blocking nerve impulses or pain sensations sent by the brain and causes the relaxation of muscles. It may cause side effects such as nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea, drowsiness, dizziness, heartburn, stomach pain and restlessness. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Lateral Epicondylitis (tennis elbow) is a condition caused by overuse or strain of the elbow tendons, leading to pain on the outer side of the elbow. Treatment usually includes resting the affected arm, avoiding repetitive activities like heavy lifting or prolonged gripping, and using an elbow brace or support to reduce strain. Applying ice packs for 10-15 minutes a few times a day, doing gentle stretching and strengthening exercises, and taking doctor-prescribed pain-relief or anti-inflammatory medicines can help reduce pain. Physiotherapy is often very helpful for faster recovery.

It can also be related to poor posture or overuse of the wrist, elbow, or shoulder muscles, especially since the pain increases when you lift your arm. To manage this, give your hand and arm adequate rest, take frequent breaks during work, maintain proper ergonomics (correct chair height, wrist support), and do gentle stretching exercises. Applying a warm compress or using a mild pain-relief gel can help reduce discomfort. If needed, a doctor may advise pain-relief medicines or physiotherapy.
