Frisium 5 Tablet is used to treat epilepsy (fits) and severe anxiety over a short period. Also, it is used in combination with other medicines to treat schizophrenia (a mental illness). It prevents fits by stabilizing the electrical activity of nerve cells in the brain. Also, it calms nerve cells and helps in reducing anxiety and induces sleep. Some people may experience side effects such as restlessness, irritability, drowsiness, constipation, aggressive behaviour, tiredness or breathing problems. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Tobacco, even in small amounts throughout the day and night, can disturb sleep quality, increase anxiety, make the mind more restless, and reduce the calming effect of sleep medicines because nicotine acts as a stimulant. One of the most important steps to improve your sleep and anxiety is to gradually reduce and eventually stop tobacco use with proper support if needed. Along with this, try to maintain a fixed sleep schedule by sleeping and waking up at the same time every day, avoiding mobile phones or TV for at least one hour before bedtime, reducing tea or coffee in the evening, and creating a calm sleeping environment. Light exercise, yoga, meditation, deep breathing, and relaxation techniques during the day can also help reduce anxiety naturally and improve sleep quality over time. Do not increase or stop your medicines on your own, because sudden changes can worsen anxiety, sleep problems, or cause withdrawal symptoms. Since your symptoms have continued despite treatment for several years, it would be a good idea to revisit your psychiatrist for a proper review of your medicines, sleep patterns, stress levels, and tobacco dependence.
