About Fudic Cream 20 gm

Fudic Cream 20 gm is a topical antibacterial medicine used to treat various bacterial skin infections, such as impetigo and infected eczema. It works by targeting the specific bacteria causing the infection, helping to clear up redness, swelling, and irritation. By treating the infection at its source, this medicine helps your skin heal and return to its healthy state.

To get the best results, you must apply Fudic Cream 20 gm consistently and exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Clean and dry the affected area before application to ensure the medicine absorbs properly. Incorporating simple habits, like keeping the skin clean and avoiding picking at the infection, can significantly support your recovery process.

While this medicine is generally safe and well-tolerated, some people may experience mild side effects, such as temporary skin irritation, redness, or a slight stinging sensation. If you experience severe burning, spreading redness, or signs of an allergic reaction, stop using the product and consult your doctor immediately.

Do not use this medicine if you have a known allergy to any of its ingredients. Before starting treatment, talk to your doctor if you have extensive skin damage, deep wounds, or if you are treating a sensitive area like your face. It is also important to consult your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding to ensure it is safe for your situation.

Because this is a topical treatment, interactions with oral medicines, alcohol, or smoking are highly unlikely. However, you should avoid applying other skin creams or ointments at the same time to prevent diluting the medicine. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or treating an elderly family member, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting treatment to ensure safe use.

Uses of Fudic Cream 20 gm

  • Impetigo: Fudic Cream 20 gm helps clear this highly contagious bacterial skin infection, which often causes red sores or blisters around the mouth and nose.
  • Infected dermatitis: When conditions like eczema or skin inflammation become complicated by a bacterial infection, this medicine targets the bacteria to allow the skin to heal.
  • Folliculitis: This medicine clears localised bacterial infections in the hair follicles, reducing painful, red bumps on the skin.
  • Infected cuts and grazes: Fudic Cream 20 gm prevents bacteria from spreading in minor skin wounds, supporting a faster and safer healing process.

Fudic Cream 20 gm helps treat bacterial skin infections by directly targeting and eliminating the bacteria causing the infection. Its benefits may include:

  • Relieves Skin Discomfort: Helps reduce symptoms such as itching, pain, redness, swelling, and irritation associated with infected skin.
  • Promotes Skin Healing: By controlling the infection, it supports the skin's natural healing process and recovery.

Directions for Use

To use this topical medicine safely and effectively, follow these simple steps:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before applying the medicine.
  • Gently clean and completely dry the infected area of your skin.
  • Apply a thin layer of Fudic Cream 20 gm to the affected area, gently rubbing it in.
  • Wash your hands again immediately after application, unless you are treating an infection on your hands.
  • If instructed by your doctor, you may cover the treated area with a sterile bandage or dressing.

Always follow your doctor's exact instructions regarding how often and how long to use this medicine. Do not stop using it early, even if your skin looks better, to ensure the infection does not return.

How Fudic Cream 20 gm Works

The active ingredient in Fudic Cream 20 gm, fusidic acid, works by preventing bacteria from producing the proteins they need to grow, multiply, and survive. It interferes with the bacterial protein synthesis process, stopping the infection-causing bacteria from spreading. Once bacterial growth is controlled, the body's natural immune defences can eliminate the remaining bacteria more effectively. This helps reduce redness, swelling, and irritation while allowing the skin to heal and restore its natural protective barrier.
