Drug-Drug Interactions

Inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines, as they may interact.

• Antifungal medications (like ketoconazole or itraconazole): Megazole DR Capsule reduces stomach acid, which can prevent these antifungals from dissolving and absorbing properly, making them less effective.
• Blood thinners (like warfarin): Combining these can occasionally alter your blood clotting times, increasing the risk of bruising or bleeding.
• Heart rhythm medications: Taking this medicine alongside drugs that alter your heart rate can increase the risk of an irregular heartbeat.

Drug-Food Interactions

• High-fat meals: Taking this medication with or immediately after heavy, greasy meals can delay its absorption and weaken its ability to control acid.
• Caffeine and Alcohol: Consuming beverages containing caffeine or alcohol can irritate your stomach lining, naturally increasing acid production and neutralising the benefits of this medication.

Drug-Disease Interactions

Inform your doctor if you have a history of the following conditions before taking Megazole DR Capsule , as it may worsen your condition or cause complications.

• Severe liver damage: People with compromised liver function may struggle to clear this medication from their system, increasing the risk of side effects.
• Heart conditions: Do not take this medicine if you have congestive heart failure, long QT syndrome, or other irregular heart rhythms.
• Gastrointestinal bleeding or blockages: This medication must not be used if you have a tear, blockage, or active bleeding in your stomach or intestines, as stimulating gut movement can be dangerous in these cases.
