It is completely safe to start trying to conceive immediately. I highly recommend starting a daily folic acid supplement now to support a healthy pregnancy. If you do not conceive within a year of trying, feel free to consult your gynaecologist for a routine checkup.

If you have been taking your tablets consistently every day without missing any doses, your risk of pregnancy is extremely low, and you do not need emergency contraception. However, if you have missed any pills recently, started the pack late, or experienced severe vomiting/diarrhoea, your protection may be reduced. In that case, you can take a Levonorgestrel-based emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hours of intercourse. Continue taking your regular Novelon tablets as scheduled and consult your gynaecologist to confirm.
