About Temsan-AM 5 Tablet

Temsan-AM 5 Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Hypertension is a condition characterised by increased blood pressure within blood vessels.

Temsan-AM 5 Tablet is a combination of S-Amlodipine and Telmisartan. S-amlodipine works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels. Telmisartan lowers blood pressure and increases blood flow by preventing blood vessel narrowing.

You may experience certain side effects, such as dizziness, stomach pain, nausea, constipation, double vision, muscle cramps, and low blood pressure. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Temsan-AM 5 Tablet or any other medicines, please inform your doctor. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should discontinue this Temsan-AM 5 Tablet because it can cause injury and death to the developing fetus. How Temsan-AM 5 Tablet Works

Temsan-AM 5 Tablet is a combination of two medicines, S-Amlodipine and Telmisartan, which are antihypertensive medicines. • S-amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker and works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels. It is equally efficacious at a half dose with better tolerability and fewer side effects, including peripheral oedema, than amlodipine. • Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist that lowers blood pressure and increases blood flow by preventing blood vessel narrowing. It is used to lower the chances of stroke, heart attack and death. Altogether, Temsan-AM 5 Tablet helps to lower high blood pressure, chest pain (angina) and other conditions caused by coronary artery disease.

Side effects of Temsan-AM 5 Tablet
  • Wear compression garments like stockings, sleeves, or gloves to apply pressure and help stop fluid from building up, especially after the swelling goes down.
  • Move around and do exercises to help the fluid circulate, especially in swollen limbs. Ask your doctor for specific exercises.
  • Raise the swollen area above your heart level several times a day, even while sleeping, to help reduce swelling.
  • Gently massage the swollen area with firm but not painful pressure.
  • Keep the swollen area clean and moisturized to prevent injury and infection.
