I have dark skin with black spots due to melanin; what medicines or medicated creams should I use to remove the spots, improve my skin tone, and get fairer skin?

To treat dark spots (hyperpigmentation), I recommend consulting a dermatologist first. Effective medicated creams often contain active ingredients like Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Kojic acid, or Azelaic acid to gently fade spots and even out skin tone. For stronger spots, a doctor may prescribe Hydroquinone or Retinoids, which must be used carefully under medical supervision. Most importantly, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily, as UV rays trigger melanin production and worsen spots. Avoid over-the-counter steroid creams, as they can cause permanent skin damage. Focus on achieving a healthy, even skin tone rather than altering your natural complexion.
I have been using Melaglow cream for the past 4-5 days, applying it at night. Whenever I apply it to my face, I feel a mild burning sensation that lasts for about 5 minutes and then settles. Before using Melaglow, I apply a VCX serum. Should I continue using this cream? Also, how long does it usually take to see results?

The mild burning sensation you are experiencing is probably due to the combined effect of Melaglow cream and the VCX serum, as using them together may irritate the skin barrier. If the discomfort is mild and settles quickly, you may continue using it, but try applying the serum and cream at different times or on alternate days. You can usually expect to see visible results within a few weeks of regular use. If the irritation worsens or persists, stop using it and consult a doctor.
