Redulid HB Capsule is used to treat anaemia (lack of blood). It works by increasing red blood cell and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. In some cases, this medicine may cause side effects such as vomiting, nausea, stomach upset or dark-coloured stool. Before taking this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking any other medication, or have any pre-existing medical conditions.

Side effects of Redulid HB Capsule

Metallic Taste

Frequent flossing and brushing can help remove bacteria and debris that can give your teeth a metallic taste.
The metallic flavor may be caused by a zinc deficiency. Eat foods like meat, chicken, and oysters that are high in zinc.
Reducing the intake of foods with strong aromas, like onions and garlic, as they may intensify the taste of metallic substances.
Avoid smoking and tobacco products as they may intensify the metallic flavor.

Nausea

Overcome Medication-Induced Nausea: A 9-Step Plan

Inform your doctor about the nausea and discuss possible alternatives to the medication or adjustments to the dosage.
Divide your daily food intake into smaller, more frequent meals to reduce nausea.
Opt for bland, easily digestible foods like crackers, toast, plain rice, bananas, and applesauce.
Avoid certain foods that can trigger nausea, such as fatty, greasy, spicy, and smelly foods.
Drink plenty of fluids, such as water, clear broth, or electrolyte-rich beverages like coconut water or sports drinks.
Use ginger (tea, ale, or candies) to help relieve nausea.
Get adequate rest and also avoid strenuous activities that can worsen nausea.
Talk to your doctor about taking anti-nausea medication if your nausea is severe.
Record when your nausea occurs, what triggers it, and what provides relief to help you identify patterns and manage your symptoms more effectively.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Redulid HB Capsule may have interaction with anticonvulsants (phenobarbital, primidone, phenytoin, sodium valproate, carbamazepine), antibiotics (chloramphenicol, cotrimoxazole, trimethoprim), antimanic drug (lithium), water tablet (triamterene), anti-inflammatory drug (sulfasalazine), painkillers (aspirin), anticancer drug (methotrexate).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid consuming dairy products, coffee, or tea with Redulid HB Capsule at the same time, as they may reduce the absorption of Redulid HB Capsule .

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have a stomach ulcer, vitamin B12 deficiency, any blood disorder, repeated blood transfusions, ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon), pernicious anaemia (anaemia due to lack of vitamin B12) or folate-dependent tumour, inform your doctor before taking Redulid HB Capsule .
