Silverex Ionic 100Gm Gel is used to cauterise (medical practice of burning or removing a part of a body to stop bleeding and prevent infection) infected tissues around a skin wound. It is also used to remove warts or skin tags. It contains Silver Nitrate, which kills bacteria. Silver nitrate releases free silver ions that react with tissue chlorides to produce silver chloride. These ions also denature and coagulate cellular proteins, leading to the formation of an eschar, which is dead tissue that eventually separates from the wound. It may cause common side effects like a burning sensation, skin staining, and irritation at the application site. Before using this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
