Vitcofol-HB Capsule is used to treat anaemia (lack of blood). It works by increasing red blood cell and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. In some cases, this medicine may cause side effects such as vomiting, nausea, stomach upset or dark-coloured stool. Before taking this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking any other medication, or have any pre-existing medical conditions.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Vitcofol-HB Capsule may have interaction with anticonvulsants (phenobarbital, primidone, phenytoin, sodium valproate, carbamazepine), antibiotics (chloramphenicol, cotrimoxazole, trimethoprim), antimanic drug (lithium), water tablet (triamterene), anti-inflammatory drug (sulfasalazine), painkillers (aspirin), anticancer drug (methotrexate).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid consuming dairy products, coffee, or tea with Vitcofol-HB Capsule at the same time, as they may reduce the absorption of Vitcofol-HB Capsule .

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have a stomach ulcer, vitamin B12 deficiency, any blood disorder, repeated blood transfusions, ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon), pernicious anaemia (anaemia due to lack of vitamin B12) or folate-dependent tumour, inform your doctor before taking Vitcofol-HB Capsule .
