Ilapro D Capsule is a combination of two drugs: Ilaprazole and Domperidone. Ilapro D Capsule is used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and peptic ulcers. Ilaprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Proton pumps are tiny substances in the stomach lining that help it make acid to digest food. Ilaprazole prevents proton pumps from working properly. This reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes. Domperidone is a dopamine antagonist that works by increasing the movements and contractions of stomach muscles. Together, Ilapro D Capsule helps in treating acidity-related problems.

Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acid reflux. Raise the head of the bed 10-20cm by putting a pillow so that the head and chest are above the waist. This helps in preventing acid reflux.

Dry mouth could be a side-effect of Ilapro D Capsule . Limiting caffeine intake, avoiding smoking and mouthwashes containing alcohol, drinking water regularly, and chewing sugar-free gum/candy might stimulate saliva and prevent drying of the mouth.

Do not take Ilapro D Capsule for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve even after taking Ilapro D Capsule for 7 days.

The common side effects of Ilapro D Capsule are diarrhoea, stomach pain, flatulence, dry mouth, dizziness, and fatigue. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve over time. However, please consult your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen.
