Tofaplus Ointment 15 gm is used to treat alopecia areata (hair loss) and atopic dermatitis.
Tofaplus Ointment 15 gm contains Tofacitinib, a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor, which affects hematopoiesis and immune cell activity by transmitting signals resulting from cytokine or growth factor-receptor interactions on the cellular membrane.
The duration of the medicine will depend on the indication/ use for which it is prescribed. However, it is advised to complete the treatment course your doctor prescribes for better recovery.
Tofaplus Ointment 15 gm is for topical use only and not other parts. Do not put a bandage or dressing on the affected area while treating with Tofaplus Ointment 15 gm. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with cold water. Do not blow-dry your scalp after using Tofaplus Ointment 15 gm. Do not apply the topical form of Tofaplus Ointment 15 gm on shaved, inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp skin.
Tofaplus Ointment 15 gm may cause certain side effects such as excessive hair growth, headache, skin irritation, itching, rashes, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue.
