About Alsatinib Tablet

Alsatinib Tablet is an anti-cancer medicine used in the treatment of Leukemia. Leukemia, also known as blood cancer, is a cancer of blood cells or blood-forming tissues. It causes excessive production of immature white blood cells by the bone marrow and reduces the body’s ability to fight infections. There are different types of blood cancers. Alsatinib Tablet is used in the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) in patients with chronic, accelerated, or blast phase Ph+ (Philadelphia chromosome-positive) who are resistant or intolerant to prior therapy, in patients with newly diagnosed chronic Ph+ chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). This medicine is also used in the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).

Alsatinib Tablet contains Dasatinib, which belongs to the class of kinase inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the action of abnormal proteins that cause the multiplication of cancerous cells. This helps stop the abnormal growth of cancer cells and thus reduce the further spread to other parts of the body.

Alsatinib Tablet may cause certain side effects, such as skin rash, fatigue, headache, musculoskeletal pain, decreased platelet count, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dizziness, GI bleeding, muscle inflammation, myalgia, and difficulty breathing. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. Alsatinib Tablet should be taken as advised by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose of medicine. Your doctor will decide the dose of Alsatinib Tablet based on the severity of your condition.

Alsatinib Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to it or any other components present in it. Before taking Alsatinib Tablet , caution should be exercised if you have/had liver/kidney disease, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiac problems, and myelosuppression as may cause serious side effects or worsen such conditions. Alsatinib Tablet is used in the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia and Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The detailed uses of Alsatinib Tablet are as follows:<br/>• Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML): Alsatinib Tablet is used to treat chronic myeloid leukemia especially philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) CML, in both newly diagnosed and resistant/intolerant cases.<br/>• Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL): Alsatinib Tablet is used to treat acute lymphoblastic leukemia and also Ph+ ALL, who are newly diagnosed or have relapsed.<br/>

Directions for Use

• Alsatinib Tablet can be taken with or without food, as food does not affect its absorption or effectiveness.• It is usually taken once a day, or as prescribed by your doctor.• Swallow Alsatinib Tablet as a whole with water.• Do not crush, chew or break Alsatinib Tablet .
