Altacef Suspension 60 ml is used to treat mild to moderate bacterial infections such as Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis (infection of tonsils/pharynx), acute bacterial otitis media (middle ear infection), and impetigo (skin infection).

Altacef Suspension 60 ml contains Cefuroxime, which works by killing bacteria or stopping their growth. Thus, it helps treat bacterial infections.

In some cases, Altacef Suspension 60 ml may cause side effects such as vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, headache and drowsiness.
