Axilev 500mg Tablet is an antibiotic that belongs to the third generation of fluoroquinolones. It is a highly effective antibiotic that works against a variety of bacteria. Axilev 500mg Tablet is used in a variety of bacterial infections, most importantly acute pneumonia (Lung infection), bronchitis (Inflammation of the lung passages), skin infections, and urinary tract infections. A bacterial infection is a condition in which bacteria grow in the body and cause an infection. It can target any body part and multiple parts very quickly.

Dangerous bacteria can make you sick and replicate in your body quickly. Harmful bacteria create chemicals known as toxins that can harm the tissue and make you ill. Axilev 500mg Tablet sticks to enzymes (Topoisomerase IV & DNA gyrase) responsible for the division of bacteria & stop the process of multiplication of bacteria & hence kills bacteria.

The dose of Axilev 500mg Tablet can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. Axilev 500mg Tablet may cause common side effects like nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhoea, constipation, trouble sleeping, and allergy. These side effects do not require immediate attention and will resolve eventually. Nevertheless, if the side effects are persistent, contact your doctor.

• Respiratory Infections: Axilev 500mg Tablet is the antibiotic, effective against bacterial respiratory infections like pneumonia and bronchitis.
• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Axilev 500mg Tablet is also used to treat complicated and uncomplicated UTIs.
• Skin Infections: Axilev 500mg Tablet is prescribed to treat skin and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
• Sinusitis: Axilev 500mg Tablet helps to treat bacterial sinus infections, easing symptoms and eliminating the disease.
• Prostatitis: Axilev 500mg Tablet is effective in treating bacterial prostatitis, an infection that causes prostate gland inflammation.
• Pelvic inflammatory disease: Axilev 500mg Tablet can be used to treat Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), a bacterial infection of the female reproductive organs.

• Axilev 500mg Tablet can be taken with or without food.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Swallow Axilev 500mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.

Axilev 500mg Tablet is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections resulting in pneumonia (Fluid buildup in the lungs), urinary tract infection, bladder infection, prostate gland infection, as well as skin infections. Axilev 500mg Tablet inhibits the growth of bacteria that are then destroyed by the immune cells of our body. Axilev 500mg Tablet also kills bacteria by disrupting their inner cellular contents, thus fighting infection, with lesser chances of causing bacterial resistance to it as compared to other antibiotics.

Do not take Axilev 500mg Tablet if you are allergic or have had a severe reaction to any fluoroquinolone antibiotics such as delafloxacin, gemifloxacin, ofloxacin, moxifloxacin, and ciprofloxacin. Taking Axilev 500mg Tablet may increase the chances of developing tendinitis (swelling of a fibrous tissue that connects a bone to a muscle) or having a tendon rupture (tearing of a fibrous tissue that connects a bone to a muscle). Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had a kidney, heart, or lung transplant, kidney disease, a joint or tendon disorder such as rheumatoid arthritis (an autoimmune disorder of joints causing pain, swelling, and loss of function), seizures (fits), epilepsy or if you participate in regular physical activity. Taking Axilev 500mg Tablet may worsen muscle weakness in people with myasthenia gravis (a nervous system disorder that causes muscle weakness) and cause severe difficulty breathing or death. Dairy products should be avoided along with Axilev 500mg Tablet. And also, exposure to sunlight should be avoided while taking Axilev 500mg Tablet as it may cause increased phototoxicity or photosensitivity. Patients with epilepsy and irregular heartbeat (QT prolongation) should tell their doctor before taking Axilev 500mg Tablet.
