Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml is a vitamin supplement primarily used to treat vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency occurs when your body has low Vitamin D levels and is caused by inadequate nutrition, intestinal malabsorption, or lack of sunlight exposure. It effectively treats various conditions, including low calcium levels, osteoporosis (weak bones), latent tetany (a muscle disease characterized by low blood calcium levels), and rickets or osteomalacia (softening of bones due to low calcium levels).

Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml contains Cholecalciferol, a form of vitamin D. It promotes the absorption of calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin A from different organs and helps maintain overall health.

Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml is safe to use in children when recommended by the paediatrician. Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml is likely safe to consume. In rare cases, it may cause side effects such as constipation, increased blood calcium levels, elevated calcium levels in urine, vomiting, and nausea. What if I have taken an overdose of Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml

As Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml is a parenteral formulation administered by experienced medical staff, the chance of overdose may be less. However, if you think there has been an overdose or experiencing any adverse events, get medical care right away. Overdose of Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml may cause anorexia, arrhythmias, constipation, calcification of soft tissues, changes in ECG measurements, diarrhoea, fatigue, headache, kidney failure, muscle weakness, muscle and joint pain, nausea, nephrocalcinosis, polydipsia, polyuria formation of renal calculi, pancreatitis, and vomiting.

  • Include dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese or milk-based custard in your diet.
  • Eat daily a serving of broccoli, cabbage, bok choy, spinach and other green leafy vegetables.
  • Include the best dietary sources of vitamin D, such as fish liver oils and vitamin D–fortified milk.
  • Snack on calcium-rich nuts like Brazil nuts or almonds.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds over your food, vegetables and salads. Sesame seeds are high in calcium.
  • Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks and alcohol that inhibit calcium absorption.

Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml is a dietary supplement that consists of Cholecalciferol or Vitamin D3. It regulates calcium and phosphate metabolism and works by increasing the amount of vitamin D in the body.
Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml is used to increase low levels of calcium in the body. Hence it is not advised to use Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml during hypercalcaemia since it causes an overdose of calcium leading to kidney stones and other effects.
Avoid taking more than one multivitamin product concomitantly unless advised by the doctor. Taking similar nutritional supplements simultaneously can lead to a vitamin overdose or other serious side effects.
Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml may increase the absorption of Aluminium in antacids. Hence it is advised to take Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml two hours before or four hours after taking antacids.

Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml helps treat and prevent bone disorders, supports immune health, and promotes muscle and nerve functioning. It aids the absorption of calcium and makes the bones strong.
Since a doctor will administer Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml, he/she will determine the time of administration.
People who are allergic to vitamin D, have hypervitaminosis D (high levels of vitamin D), hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium) or malabsorption syndrome should not take Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml.
Too much vitamin D may cause hypervitaminosis D (high levels of vitamin D). However, as Calcirol NU Injection 2 ml is administered by a doctor it is unlikely to overdose on this medicine.
