Description
Dianeal peritoneal dialysis solution is indicated for the management of acute or chronic renal failure. It helps remove extra salt, water and waste products from the body when kidneys fail to do so. Dianeal peritoneal dialysis solutions are intended for use in Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) or Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD). In CAPD, gravity moves the fluid through the catheter and into and out of your abdomen where as in APD, a machine called a cycler fills and drains your belly.

Directions for Use
Dianeal PD-2 is for intraperitoneal administration only. A healthcare professional will train you to perform dialysis on your own.
Side effects
Dianeal PD-2 may cause peritonitis (inflammation of the abdominal lining), encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis (fibrotic thickening of the peritoneum), and electrolyte & fluid imbalance. Please consult the doctor if you have any concerns.
Key Benefits
Dianeal PD-2 is a dialysis solution used in patients with acute or chronic renal failure. It helps remove harmful substances from the blood when kidneys cannot.
Dianeal PD-2 contains dextrose, which might increase the risk of hyperglycaemia (high sugar levels) in patients with impaired glucose tolerance. Inform the doctor if you are diabetic. Monitoring of blood sugar levels is recommended in such cases.
Peritoneal dialysis is a treatment for kidney failure that uses the lining of your abdomen, or belly, to filter the blood inside your body. It involves putting a catheter (soft, hollow tube) into the abdominal cavity and filling it with dialysis solution (cleansing fluid).
After starting peritoneal dialysis, you may need to Stop your normal activities and take about 30 minutes to perform an exchange. If you do automated peritoneal dialysis, you’ll have to set up your cycler every night. Limit physical activity when your belly is full of dialysis solution. You may still be active and play sports; however, discuss them with the doctor first. Limit sodium, phosphorus, calories, and water. Add protein to your diet and take supplements as advised by the doctor.
