Elina Tablet 15's contains Mizolastine which works by blocking histamine effects, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. It helps relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, congestion, or stuffiness.

Take Elina Tablet 15's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Elina Tablet 15's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical conditions. You may experience sleepiness, dizziness, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat and difficulty breathing, generalized skin rash (nettle rash), itching, and fainting. Most of these side effects of Elina Tablet 15's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Elina Tablet 15's or any other medicines, are pregnant or breastfeeding, before using Elina Tablet 15's. If you have liver disease, heart disease, epilepsy, and blood disorder, stop taking Elina Tablet 15's and consult a doctor immediately. Avoid contact with people who have infections or are sick as Elina Tablet 15's may weaken the immune system causing infections easily.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Elina Tablet 15's may interact with an immunosuppressant medication (ciclosporin), blood pressure-lowering medicines (nifedipine), a medicine used to treat heart disease (adenosine), antifungal (ketoconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole), antibiotics (erythromycin, azithromycin, clarithromycin), medicines for stomach ulcers (cimetidine).

Drug-Food Interactions: Elina Tablet 15's may interact with grapefruit juice. Therefore, avoid grapefruit juice intake with Elina Tablet 15's. Also, avoid alcohol consumption with Elina Tablet 15's as it may cause increased drowsiness, dizziness, impairment of judgment, and thinking.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Before taking Elina Tablet 15's, let your doctor know if have hepatic dysfunction, clinically significant bradycardia, and QT prolongation, or with electrolyte imbalance, in particular, hypokalaemia.

• Add ginger to foods or tea as it contains some anti-inflammatory compounds that can relax membranes in the airways and reduce cough, irritation and swelling in nasal passages.

• Staying hydrated is vital for those with a cough or cold. Drink liquids at room temperature to get relief from a runny nose, cough and sneezing.

• The immune system is affected by stress and raises the risk of being sick. Do meditation, deep breathing, regular exercise and try progressive muscle relaxation techniques to relieve stress.

• It is advised to avoid contact with known allergens (allergy-causing agents) such as pollen, dust, etc. Certain food items are known to cause allergies to you.

• Maintain personal hygiene and keep your surroundings clean.

• Certain blood tests are recommended while taking Elina Tablet 15's to monitor serum cortisol levels as Elina Tablet 15's may increase these levels.

• Also, avoid smoking as it might worsen your symptoms, so avoid tobacco intake.

• Your doctor may advice to stop taking Elina Tablet 15's before any allergy test.
