About Emcort 0.1% Cream
Emcort 0.1% Cream is used to reduce inflammation (swelling), itchiness and redness caused by certain skin problems called dermatitis or psoriasis. Dermatitis is a common skin condition associated with dry, itchy, or swollen skin. Psoriasis is a condition in which skin cells multiply faster than normal, resulting in white scales and itchy, dry patches.
Emcort 0.1% Cream contains Mometasone, which works by acting inside skin cells and inhibiting the release of certain inflammatory substances in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling.
Some people may experience inflamed hair follicles, acne, thinning of the skin, itching, stinging, tingling or burning sensations. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

- If you use Emcort 0.1% Cream for psoriasis, your doctor may review the progress regularly.
- If your condition reoccurs shortly after stopping treatment with Emcort 0.1% Cream, within two weeks, do not restart using Emcort 0.1% Cream without consulting your doctor.
- Do not cover or wrap the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor.
- Avoid using Emcort 0.1% Cream for more than 5 days in children and on the face.
- Avoid using Emcort 0.1% Cream in or around the eyes, including eyelids.
- Do not use Emcort 0.1% Cream on large areas of the body or for a longer duration.
- Use Emcort 0.1% Cream as prescribed. You are advised to use Emcort 0.1% Cream for as long as your doctor has recommended it based on your condition.
- Emcort 0.1% Cream is for external use only. Avoid contact of Emcort 0.1% Cream with nose, mouth, or eyes. In case Emcort 0.1% Cream comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly.
