• Treatment of Herpes Simplex Keratitis: Io-Vir Eye 3% Ointment 5 gm is used to treat herpes simplex keratitis, an infection of the cornea (the transparent front part of the eye) caused by the herpes simplex virus. It helps reduce symptoms such as eye pain, blurred vision and redness.
• Prevention of Recurrence in Herpes Simplex Infections: Io-Vir Eye 3% Ointment 5 gm may be used to prevent Herpes Simplex Infections recurrence, particularly in people with a history of repeated flare-ups.
• Post-Surgical Infection Prevention: Io-Vir Eye 3% Ointment 5 gm may be used to prevent viral infections in individuals at high risk for herpes simplex virus infections after certain eye surgeries.

• Io-Vir Eye 3% Ointment 5 gm is used to manage viral infections of the eye caused by the herpes simplex virus.
