• Prevention of Recurrence in Herpes Simplex Infections: Optiviral Eye Ointment 5 gm may be used to prevent Herpes Simplex Infections recurrence, particularly in people with a history of repeated flare-ups.
• Post-Surgical Infection Prevention: Optiviral Eye Ointment 5 gm may be used to prevent viral infections in individuals at high risk for herpes simplex virus infections after certain eye surgeries.
