About Ket-Aminos Tablet

Ket-Aminos Tablet is widely used in the treatment of chronic kidney disease. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a long-term condition where the kidneys don't work as they should.

Ket-Aminos Tablet contains Alpha Ketoanalogue, which prevents the unnecessary increase in urea levels in the blood due to the intake of non-essential amino acids in patients with kidney failure. Thereby improving renal function.

Not everyone who takes Ket-Aminos Tablet will experience these side effects. Common side effects of Ket-Aminos Tablet include increased calcium levels, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and abdominal pain. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time.

Take Ket-Aminos Tablet with food orally (by mouth). Depending on your medical condition, your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the medicine. However, it is advised not to take more than the prescribed dose of Ket-Aminos Tablet.

What if I have taken an overdose of Ket-Aminos Tablet

CKD is usually caused by various conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, kidney infections, kidney inflammation, kidney stones that keep coming back, an enlarged prostate, and long-term or regular use of certain medicines such as lithium and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

CKD can be diagnosed using blood and urine tests. These tests look for high levels of certain substances in the blood and urine that show your kidneys are malfunctioning. The results of these tests can be used to determine the stage of your kidney disease.

There are usually no symptoms of kidney disease in the early stages. At a more advanced stage, symptoms can include tiredness, swollen ankles, feet or hands, shortness of breath, feeling sick, and blood in your pee (urine).
