Proctogard T Cream 25 gm is used to treat haemorrhoids (piles). Hemorrhoids, known as piles, are inflamed and bulging veins that cause discomfort, pain and bleeding in the rectum and anus. 

Proctogard T Cream 25 gm is a combination medicine that contains sucralfate and oxetacaine, which work together to strengthen the walls of tiny blood vessels and prevent leakage and fragility. They also enhance blood flow by decreasing blood viscosity/thickness. 

Proctogard T Cream 25 gm may cause certain common side effects such as nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, and indigestion in some cases. If these side effects persist for longer, consult your doctor immediately.

It forms a protective layer over the damaged ulcer tissue in the stomach, shielding it from acid or injury. This protective barrier facilitates healing. It works by blocking nerve signals, providing fast relief from pain caused by ulcers. Its numbing effect offers immediate and prolonged pain relief. Take it on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.

• Limit your intake of fried meals and animal fats. Increase your consumption of lean meats, healthy fats, fruits, veggies, and whole grains.
• Avoid lactose-containing foods such as milk, ice cream, cheese, yoghurt, and fruits such as mangoes, apples, plums, legumes, corn syrup, sweeteners, and wheat-based bread, cashews, and pistachios.
• A high-fibre diet will help you maintain regular bowel movements and avoid haemorrhoids. Fibre is abundant in whole-grain foods, fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole-wheat bread, and pasta.
• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Fluids are required to keep your body's blood flowing.
• Alcohol and caffeine can disrupt natural bowel motions, limiting or avoiding them.
• Avoid or quit smoking.
