Prosivate-S Ointment contains Clobetasol propionate and Salicylic acid. Clobetasol propionate blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic acid causes peeling of the cornified epithelium or horny layer of skin.
