Rablet 20 Tablet is used to treat several conditions such as duodenal ulcers (sores in the upper part of the small intestine), gastro-oesophageal reflux disease or GERD (when acid from the stomach flows back into the food pipe), heartburn (a burning feeling in the chest caused by acid), erosive oesophagitis (damage to the food pipe lining from stomach acid), infections caused by Helicobacter pylori (a type of bacteria that affects the stomach, usually treated with antibiotics), and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a rare condition where the stomach makes too much acid). It contains Rabeprazole, which helps reduce the amount of acid your stomach produces. This allows ulcers and other acid-related conditions to heal and helps prevent them from recurring. Common side effects may include headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhoea, gas, fatigue, or a runny nose. Rablet 20 Tablet is used to treat duodenal ulcers, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (reflux of gastric contents into the oesophagus), heartburn, erosive oesophagitis (acid-related damage to the lining of the oesophagus), infections caused by Helicobacter pylori when given along with an antibiotic, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Rablet 20 Tablet works by blocking the action of the enzyme known as gastric proton pump that is responsible for the production of acid. This helps in reducing the amount of acid produced, heals the ulcers and prevents the formation of new ulcers.
Do not take Rablet 20 Tablet for longer than prescribed by your doctor. If long-term treatment is required, regular medical follow-up may be necessary. Prolonged use may increase the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium levels, bone fractures, and certain gastrointestinal infections. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or if you require treatment beyond the recommended duration.
Do not stop taking Rablet 20 Tablet without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better or your symptoms have improved. Stopping treatment too early may allow your condition to return or prevent complete healing. Continue taking Rablet 20 Tablet for the duration prescribed by your doctor.
Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Rablet 20 Tablet . Drink lots of fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. Rablet 20 Tablet should be used with caution in the elderly as it may cause bone weakness and increased risk of fractures if taken for longer duration.
