About RemMag Tablet
RemMag Tablet is used to treat acute hypomagnesaemia, a condition characterised by abnormally low magnesium levels in the blood. It may also be used for rapid emptying of the bowel before surgery and as a laxative to treat occasional constipation.
RemMag Tablet contains Magnesium oxide, which is involved in various body processes such as hormone receptor binding, muscular contraction, neuronal activity, neurotransmitter release, and vasomotor tone.
Common side effects of RemMag Tablet include diarrhoea and cramps. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, if these side effects persist for an extended period, please seek medical advice.

However, if you notice any body aches or pain, chills, cough, difficulty in breathing, fever, headache, or loss of voice you should contact a doctor immediately. Coadministration of RemMag Tablet with Gefitinib impairs absorption and increases the Gefitinib levels in the body. This may increase the risk or severity of side effects.

However, if you notice any Blistering, peeling or loosening of the skin, bloody, black, or tarry stools, eye redness or pain, heartburn, indigestion, joint or muscle pain, or abdomen pain you should contact a doctor immediately. Do not stop using any medications without talking to a doctor.
Taking dolutegravir with RemMag Tablet can reduce the effectiveness of dolutegravir.

If you have stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, a perforated intestine, a bowel obstruction, severe constipation, colitis (colon inflammation), or toxic megacolon, do not take magnesium oxide for constipation. Also, if you have any rectal bleeding or no bowel movements after using magnesium oxide as a laxative, stop using it right away and seek medical help.
Take RemMag Tablet only for as long as your doctor has recommended it. If recommended for heartburn/acidity, avoid taking magnesium oxide for longer than two weeks unless advised otherwise by the doctor.
