Tellzy RS Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure associated with high cholesterol levels. Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a chronic condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery wall is high. High cholesterol, known as hyperlipidemia, occurs when there is an excess of unhealthy cholesterol in the blood.
Tellzy RS Tablet is a combination of Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin. Telmisartan works by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II in the body, which causes the narrowing of blood vessels and leads to high blood pressure. Rosuvastatin works by blocking liver enzymes (HMG-CoA-reductase), causing the liver to produce less cholesterol. Thus, Tellzy RS Tablet lowers the levels of lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides.
In some cases, you may experience an allergic reaction, low blood pressure, skin itching, and decreased platelet cell count (thrombocytopenia). Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
