Triolen-25 Tablet is used along with ultraviolet light for the treatment of vitiligo. It is also used to treat psoriasis (a skin condition). Vitiligo is a skin condition in which the skin loses colour (melanocytes) and results in discoloured patches in different areas of the body, including the skin, hair, and mucous membranes.

Triolen-25 Tablet contains trioxsalen, which works by activating certain skin cells (melanocytes) and helps to repigment the discoloured and white patches.

Triolen-25 Tablet may cause common side effects such as erythema (skin redness), blisters, oedema (swelling), and itching. These side effects resolve on their own. However, if it persists, stop using Triolen-25 Tablet and consult your physician.

Triolen-25 Tablet should not be taken if you are allergic to it. Inform to your physician if you are pregnant/breastfeeding. Triolen-25 Tablet should be used with caution in patients who have allergies to sunlight, porphyria, heart/ liver disease, stomach problems, cataracts, skin cancers and lupus erythematosus.

Triolen-25 Tablet is used in the treatment of Vitiligo and psoriasis. The detailed use of Triolen-25 Tablet is as follows:

  • Vitiligo Treatment: Triolen-25 Tablet is used in vitiligo treatment in conjunction with ultraviolet A (UVA) light therapy (PUVA) to promote re-pigmentation of affected skin areas, helping to restore skin colour and improve appearance.
  • Management of psoriasis: Triolen-25 Tablet slows down the excessive growth of skin cells.
