About Valchek Tablet
Valchek Tablet is used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection of the retina of the eye in adult AIDS patients. Also, Valchek Tablet is used to prevent CMV infection in patients who received an organ transplant from a donor infected with CMV.
Valchek Tablet contains Valganciclovir, which is converted to ganciclovir in the body and inhibits viral multiplication.
In some cases, you may experience diarrhoea, loss of appetite, cough, headache, stomach pain, nausea, fever, tiredness, or sinusitis (sinus infection). Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Valchek Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid taking Valchek Tablet if you are pregnant, as it may cause birth defects. If you are breastfeeding, do not take Valchek Tablet as it may be excreted in human milk and cause adverse effects in the baby. Women are recommended to use effective contraceptive measures while taking Valchek Tablet and for 30 days after treatment with Valchek Tablet.
