About Aloha XT Tablet 3

Aloha XT Tablet 3 is used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) that occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to various tissues throughout the body.

Aloha XT Tablet 3 is a combination of two drugs: Ferrous ascorbate and folic acid. Aloha XT Tablet 3 works by increasing the production of red blood cells (RBCs) and haemoglobin (a protein) in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs is produced in the body so that each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen.

Not everyone who is taking Aloha XT Tablet 3 will get these side effects. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, stomach upset or dark coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Aloha XT Tablet 3 do not require medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Take Aloha XT Tablet 3 orally 1 hour before food or 2 hours after food or as directed by your doctor, typically once daily in the morning. The dosage of the medicine is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day. It is advised to complete your treatment course for better results.

If you are allergic to Aloha XT Tablet 3 or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using Aloha XT Tablet 3. Aloha XT Tablet 3 should be used with caution in children and only if recommended by a doctor. Aloha XT Tablet 3 may contain lactose. Therefore, inform your doctor if you have an allergy to any sugars before taking Aloha XT Tablet 3. Also, let your doctor know if you have a history of stomach ulcers, vitamin B12 deficiency, any blood disorders, repeated blood transfusions, ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon), pernicious anaemia (anaemia due to a lack of vitamin B12), or folate-dependent tumours.

Directions for Use

• Recommended to take on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals or as advised by your doctor. • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication, to ensure the safety. • Swallow the medicine as a whole with glass of water. • Do not crush, break, or chew it.

Coadministration of Aloha-XT Tablet 30 's and Fluorouracil may increase the effects of Fluorouracil and increase the risk of serious side effects such as bleeding problems, anaemia (lack of blood), infections, and nerve damage.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction between Aloha-XT Tablet 30 's and Fluorouracil, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience diarrhoea, paleness of skin, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body pains, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet, contact your doctor.

Aloha XT Tablet 3 is used for the treatment of anaemia.

You are not recommended to take Aloha XT Tablet 3 with coffee, tea or dairy products at the same time as they may reduce the absorption of Aloha XT Tablet 3. However, you may drink coffee or tea 2 hours before or after taking Aloha XT Tablet 3.

You are not recommended to take Aloha XT Tablet 3 with phenytoin as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the concentration of Aloha XT Tablet 3 in blood and increase the risk of seizures (fits). However, please consult a doctor before taking Aloha XT Tablet 3 with phenytoin.

Aloha XT Tablet 3 is not recommended for hemochromatosis (excessive iron in the body) patients as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. Therefore, it is advised to inform your doctor if you have any iron overload conditions before taking Aloha XT Tablet 3.
