Betadine 2% Mint Gargle is an antiseptic and disinfectant used to treat a sore throat. It also treats and prevents infections of the mouth and throat lining, such as gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and mouth ulcers. Betadine 2% Mint Gargle is also used to cleanse the mouth for preparation of the oral mucosa before any injection, dental surgery or tooth extraction. 

Betadine 2% Mint Gargle contains Povidone iodine, which works by killing harmful microbes and reducing inflammation. It supports quicker healing, alleviates pain, and helps prevent further infection.

Betadine 2% Mint Gargle may cause common side effects, such as mouth or throat irritation, dryness of the mouth and throat, and a burning sensation. Please tell your doctor if you are undergoing any lithium therapy or treatment involving radioactive iodine. Do not use Betadine 2% Mint Gargle before or after radioiodine scintigraphy or radioiodine treatment of thyroid carcinoma.
