More about the Product

About Myolaxin-D Gel

Myolaxin-D Gel is a topical pain-relief gel used to treat localised muscle aches, joint pain, backaches, and sprains. It combines pain-relieving and warming/cooling agents to target discomfort right at the source of your injury or inflammation. This medication is designed to provide temporary relief from pain associated with arthritis, strains, and minor sports injuries

Apply this gel consistently to the affected area as directed by your doctor, typically 3 to 4 times daily. Since it is applied directly to the skin, you do not need to time its application with your meals. Incorporating gentle stretching and maintaining a moderate weight can help improve your joint mobility and enhance the overall results of your treatment.

You may experience mild skin redness, itching, or a temporary burning sensation where the gel is applied. If you develop severe skin peeling, blistering, or signs of a serious allergic reaction like swelling or hives, stop using the product and consult your doctor immediately.

Talk to your doctor before starting this medication if you have a history of stomach ulcers, severe asthma, or kidney problems. Do not take this if you are allergic to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or if you have open wounds, cuts, or infected skin at the application site.

Avoid applying other topical pain creams to the same area or taking oral pain relievers simultaneously without medical advice, as this can increase your risk of side effects. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or are an elderly individual, consult your doctor before using this medication to ensure it is safe for your specific situation.

Uses of Myolaxin-D Gel

Your doctor may recommend this medicine to help manage the following conditions:

  • Osteoarthritis and Joint Pain: It helps reduce localised swelling, stiffness, and pain in weight-bearing joints like the knees, ankles, and hands.
  • Backaches and Muscle Strains: It eases muscle tightness, cramping, and soreness in the back, neck, and shoulders caused by overexertion or poor posture.
  • Sprains and Sports Injuries: It provides rapid relief from acute soft-tissue injuries by cooling the area and reducing inflammatory pain.
  • Fasciitis and Tendonitis: It relieves discomfort in inflamed tendons and ligaments, helping you regain comfortable, pain-free movement.

Key Benefits

When taken consistently as directed, this medicine may provide the following health benefits:

  • Provides targeted pain relief: Delivers pain relief directly to the affected area through the skin, helping relieve discomfort while bypassing much of the digestive system.
  • Reduces the risk of stomach upset: Because the active ingredients are absorbed locally, there is a lower risk of stomach upset and other systemic side effects commonly associated with oral painkillers.
  • Offers rapid comfort: The cooling and warming sensations provide quick relief by helping distract your brain from deeper aches.
  • Supports recovery: The anti-inflammatory action helps reduce swelling, promoting recovery and helping you return to normal physical activities with less pain.

Directions for Use

  • Apply a thin layer of cream to the clean and dry affected area.
  • Myolaxin-D Gel is for topical use only.

How Myolaxin-D Gel Works

It contains camphor, diclofenac sodium, eucalyptus oil, menthol, methyl salicylate and oleoresin capsicum. It works through a combination of pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, and counter-irritant actions. Each active component plays a specific role in soothing your muscles and joints: Diclofenac sodium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that stops the body from producing the chemicals (prostaglandins) that cause pain and swelling. Methyl Salicylate acts as a counter-irritant, causing a warming sensation that distracts the brain from the deeper joint or muscle pain. Menthol and Camphor create a cooling effect on the skin, which desensitises local nerve endings and helps ease discomfort quickly. Eucalyptus Oil acts as a natural soothing agent that improves local blood circulation to help heal tissues. Oleoresin Capsicum works by temporarily depleting a chemical messenger called Substance P, which transmits pain signals from the joints and muscles to the brain.
