• First, wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
• Insert the OneTouch Strips 50 into your meter.
• When the "Apply Blood" screen is shown, you can put your blood sample on either side of the test strip at the channel opening.
• Apply the sample immediately after a drop of blood forms.
• Tilt the meter slightly and position the channel over the blood drop.
• Once the blood touches the sample, it will be drawn into the channel, which should fill.
• The channel will turn red, and the meter will start a countdown from 5 to 1.
