About VOLITROY SPRAY

VOLITROY SPRAY is used to relieve acute musculoskeletal pain and pain of osteoarthritis of joints. It reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness, thereby improving your ability to move and flex the joint.

VOLITROY SPRAY contains diclofenac, methyl salicylate, linseed oil, and menthol. VOLITROY SPRAY works by first cooling the skin and then warming it up, which interferes with the pain signal transmission through nerves.

Some common side effects of VOLITROY SPRAY are burning, itching, redness, stinging, and dryness on your skin in the place where VOLITROY SPRAY is applied. These side effects are usually mild and short-lived. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

VOLITROY SPRAY should be used for skin only, and if it accidentally gets into your eye, mouth, or nose, rinse with water. VOLITROY SPRAY is contraindicated in children below two years of age. In addition, caution must be exercised when treating older children (2-12 years).

  • VOLITROY SPRAY is for topical (skin surface) use only.
  • It is typically applied 3-4 times daily, or as directed by your doctor.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water before applying VOLITROY SPRAY. Apply a small amount of VOLITROY SPRAY to the affected area with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab and gently rub it in.
  • Avoid taking a shower for at least 1 hour after application.
  • If VOLITROY SPRAY accidentally comes in contact with your eyes, mouth, or nose, rinse with water thoroughly.
  • Do not apply it to open wounds, or use external heat or occlusive dressings on the treated joints.
