Silgesic Spray 35 gm

Silgesic Spray 35 gm is used to relieve acute musculoskeletal pain and pain of osteoarthritis of joints. It reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness, thereby improving your ability to move and flex the joint.

Silgesic Spray 35 gm contains diclofenac, methyl salicylate, linseed oil, and menthol. Silgesic Spray 35 gm works by first cooling the skin and then warming it up, which interferes with the pain signal transmission through nerves.

Some common side effects of Silgesic Spray 35 gm are burning, itching, redness, stinging, and dryness on your skin in the place where Silgesic Spray 35 gm is applied. These side effects are usually mild and short-lived. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Silgesic Spray 35 gm should be used for skin only, and if it accidentally gets into your eye, mouth, or nose, rinse with water. Silgesic Spray 35 gm is contraindicated in children below two years of age. In addition, caution must be exercised when treating older children (2-12 years).

• Silgesic Spray 35 gm is for topical (skin surface) use only.
• It is typically applied 3-4 times daily, or as directed by your doctor.
• Wash your hands with soap and water before applying Silgesic Spray 35 gm. Apply a small amount of Silgesic Spray 35 gm to the affected area with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab and gently rub it in.
• Avoid taking a shower for at least 1 hour after application.
• If Silgesic Spray 35 gm accidentally comes in contact with your eyes, mouth, or nose, rinse with water thoroughly.
• Do not apply it to open wounds, or use external heat or occlusive dressings on the treated joints.

• Use of Silgesic Spray 35 gm is contraindicated in the people who have asthma, liver disease, kidney disease, stomach/intestine problems (bleeding, ulcers, Crohn's disease), cardiovascular diseases (heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke), swelling (oedema, fluid retention), blood disorders (such as anaemia), bleeding/clotting problems.
• Silgesic Spray 35 gm should not be given to children less than 2 years of age.
• The use of Silgesic Spray 35 gm should be done with caution in the elderly as they have a high risk of kidney damage and gastrointestinal bleeding.
