About Zebita XT Syrup
Zebita XT Syrup belongs to a class of medications called haematinics, primarily used to treat anaemia (deficiency of iron and haemoglobin). Iron deficiency occurs mainly due to a poor diet or poor dietary absorption.
Zebita XT Syrup contains Elemental Iron and Folic acid. Elemental iron helps with the transportation of oxygen throughout the body and the production of red blood cells. Folic acid helps boost the production of red blood cells (RBCs) in the body. Together, Zebita XT Syrup helps treat anaemia.
Zebita XT Syrup may cause side effects like constipation, dry mouth, loss of appetite, bloating, and diarrhoea in some cases. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Do not take Zebita XT Syrup if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health conditions and medications to prevent any potential interactions.

Daily oral iron and folic acid supplementation with 30-60 mg of elemental iron and 400µg (0.4 mg) folic acid is recommended for pregnant women to prevent puerperal sepsis, maternal anaemia, low birth weight, and preterm birth.
Folic acid is rich in various foods like broccoli, brussels sprouts, liver, spinach, and asparagus, while iron is found in dark-green leafy vegetables, fortified cereals, nuts, and dried fruit.
